Bio

Amelia is an experienced development practitioner and leader who leverages her technical expertise in research, measurement, and evaluation to help organizations enhance their ability to communicate their stories of impact, make data-driven decisions about adaptation, and enhance their impact. While working across various fields, Amelia has built a skillset grounded in her passion for meeting the needs and centering the voices of women, girls, and other vulnerable populations. She has worked across sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, and the U.S. on issues including women’s empowerment, sexual and gender-based violence, water and sanitation, child and forced labor, food security, and economic opportunity.

At Frontier, Amelia has helped Fortune 500 companies, universities, and nonprofit organizations develop and implement systems to better measure, communicate, and learn from the impact of their work. Prior to joining Frontier, Amelia built a robust research skill set while serving on staff at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, leading multi-country, mixed methods studies on women’s empowerment and gender considerations related to water, sanitation, and hygiene for funders including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the United Nations, and USAID. Her research has been published in The Lancet Global Health, Violence Against Women, BMJ Open, Frontiers in Water, and PLOS Water. Earlier in her career, Amelia worked with the consulting firm JBS International, The Carter Center, CARE International, and other nonprofit organizations.

Amelia holds a Master’s in Development Practice from Emory University with a concentration in Gender & Women’s Empowerment and graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University with a B.A. in Political Science and International Development.
