Bio
Max Perel-Slater is the Founder and Director of Behavior Change and Impact Evaluation of the Maji Safi Group (MSG), a health-education nonprofit focusing on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, Menstrual Hygiene Management, and Neglected Tropical Diseases in Tanzania. Over the past ten years he has led the growth of MSG into a flourishing organization that serves hundreds of thousands of East Africans each year.
Max also serves as a technical advisor for the Tanzanian National Institute of Medical Research, the Tanzanian Ministry of Health, UNICEF-Tanzania, the Tanzanian Water and Sanitation Network, the Tanzanian Menstrual Hygiene Task Force, the University of Cambridge, and the COVID-19 Hygiene Hub.
Max graduated with honors from Emory University with a Master’s in Public Health and has a B.A. from Wesleyan University. Additionally, Max is currently continuing his studies at Emory University as a Master’s in Development Practice student, with a concentration in Monitoring and Evaluation.
