Bio

Olivia Shoemaker is an experienced strategist and researcher with a background in international security. Prior to Frontier, she helped build a nonprofit called Taimaka in West Africa – overseeing fundraising and strategy as it grew from 14 to 100+ employees and $100k to nearly $1m in annual revenue.

Olivia has been awarded multiple fellowships for her research on terrorism in Nigeria and has supported analysis on security-related topics for the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of State, think tanks, and at Georgetown University. Olivia is also a certified mediator with the Virginia Department of Justice, where she uses her skills to help members of her community find restorative solutions to conflict.

She thrives in situations where she can put her unique cross-functional expertise (across humanitarian and security work) and creativity to work on complex challenges. At Frontier, Olivia supports a range of projects related to AI & security.
